
Estimator/Project Manager
Tab Construction is a family-owned and operated business that has been in the Colorado Springs area for over 30 years. We are looking for a professional individual to join our 'family' who wants to acquire new skills and help the business continue to succeed.
Responsibilities

Review and analyze project blueprints online and offline, specifications, and other relevant documents.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and ancillary costs.

Develop comprehensive bid proposals.

Maintain accurate records of estimates, bid documents, and correspondence.

Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes.
-
Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info.
-
Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans.

Works closely with architects and other professionals.

Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.

Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required.

Manage projects to include monthly billing, change orders, and field communications.

Coordinating tasks by different people on different sites to ensure uniformity upon project completion

Ensuring timely completion of the project to build client trust while avoiding unnecessary penalties

Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses

Procuring and allocating resources to ensure there is no shortage while avoiding any unnecessary delays caused by management decisions

Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime, such as poor planning designs, and government policies, which directly or indirectly affect the project
Qualifications

Proficient in construction estimating software: Agtek, Bluebeam & and Sage.

Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills

Strong math skills

Ability to navigate specifications and plans

Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects

Ability to handle multiple assignments at once

Close attention to detail

Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment where all those with project responsibilities work well together

Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring daily job allocation

Excellence in planning how each process should be done, how resources are to be acquired, and when the project should be completed

Excellence in the budgeting of financial resources

Ability to welcome feedback and use it to improve the quality of production
*A college degree is preferred but not required.
