Our Story
It Runs In
Our Blood
It’s a true family affair. After working many years in the construction industry, Bud Wheatley set off to start his own company with the help of his wife, Cyndi, and daughter, Tabatha (who he named the company after) in 1993. Starting out with just one backhoe and no employees, the family took chances, learned new skills, and began to grow the company year after year.
After about 10 successful years, it was time to take the company to the next level which meant bringing Tabatha’s husband, Alex, onboard to become the head of all operations. With an emphasis on relationships, Alex helped grow the company and build a team of hard-working people that understand how to overcome the challenges of earthwork and underground utilities.
Today, Tab Construction is still the same family business that it has been for the past 25+ years. Tabatha is the President of the company and her son is a crew foreman. However, over the years, the word “family” has expanded to include everyone at Tab Construction - including its partners.
Through consistently treating people with respect and getting the job done, Tab Construction has built a reputation in the community as being a reliable earthmoving contractor.
